stills - holiday edition - part one.
I barely know where to start writing this, I had full intentions of posting more over Christmas and our break but it just didn't happen. I hardly took any photos, and rather just enjoyed each moment as it happened.
Christmas was wonderful, we started our celebrations early with my parents visiting the weekend before the day. We had a delicious Mexican inspired feast and were spoilt with lovely gifts.
Actual Christmas day was quieter, the little ones slept late (this never happens) the excitement and pure joy on their faces was a sight to behold. We spent a lovely day together with Uncle Bert, playing with our new toys and relaxing. Later we had family friends over and enjoyed a more traditional meal and of course Christmas pudding!
The kids loved Christmas this year and were thrilled Santa came through with the goods, which wasn't hard when Riley had requested a broom, torch and telescope. Hilarious. I just love this time of year.
I'm looking forward to catching up on all your holiday posts, I've got some reading to do!

* I said I didn't take any photos but I'm splitting this post so I don't bombard you with all our holiday snaps at once.

ReplyDeleteA broom - how I am loving that :) More beautiful photos too!!
ReplyDeleteI love the crowns around the dinner table, but I especially love the joy and happiness in your words. Usually, this time of year is stressful, but joyful. You are lucky to only feel the latter!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you guys had a wonderful Christmas and I love the idea of a mexican feast! Delicious x
ReplyDeleteI love the look of that mixer set, and how funny that Riley requested a broom - Everly used to get upset that she couldn't help me sweep the floor with the 'big' broom so her Nanna and Papa bought her a little wooden broom for Christmas, she loves it :)
ReplyDeletehaha i was wondering why he had a broom! how cute his request were!
ReplyDeleteThe broom! I love it!! Sometimes it really is nice to put the camera down and just enjoy isn't it. I've done a bit of that over the past weeks, and it really has been lovely, especially going to new places.
